www.artoflistening.info is a purpose built repository for multi-media works produced as part of a long term year engagement with the National Council for the Blind of Ireland.

The Art of Listening Project is a body of work featuring a collection of projects by service users of NCBI in collaboration with artist in residence Siobhán Clancy.  To access artworks, details of collaborative production processes and the artists blog go to www.artoflistening.info

The artistic outcomes to date have included sound and sculptural works, installations and live events.  They were presented to mixed-ability audiences in mainstream contexts such as an artist-run gallery,  a group art show,  community and fringe festivals.  The engagement has recently extended to San Francisco in the development of an exchange with the artist in residence GK Callaghan and participants at the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired – San Francisco, USA.

This residency has been supported by the Arts Councils Artist in the Community Scheme and managed by Create (The National Development Agency for Collaborative Arts.), Dublin City Council Arts Act Grant and the CDVEC.
